I’m a #1 podcast host, bestselling author, YouTube creator, and world renown pageant coach. I’ve personally coached over 2,000 clients and virtually coached over 15,000 women around the world to achieve their dreams of influence and impact – on stage and in life. But it didn’t start that way…
I was a small-town girl with God-sized dreams. I basically grew up on a farm. My parents were both teachers and in the summer we would grow and sell sweet corn to local grocery stores and neighbors in our small town in Pennsylvania.
I loved my friends, my family and our sweet little town, but I always felt that I was called to something more.
When I was 8, I wrote a letter to Hollywood, “Dear Hollywood” explaining how I’d had 5 years of ballet, tap and jazz classes, I could fake a great English accent and to keep me in mind in case they needed me in a movie in the future. I had a [healthy] obsession with Los Angeles and always dreamed of what it would be like to live in southern California. (They never wrote back, but whatever.)
After graduate school, I moved to Los Angeles (not to be an actress) for a position as a career coach and leadership professor at a prestigious university.
(though, secretly hoping they’d pluck me from the crowd for a lead role).
Call me crazy, but I’ve always known I was meant for something BIG.
For as long as I can remember, there’s been this little voice inside me, telling me that I was meant for something different. Something more. Something BIG.

You see, I knew in my heart that God was calling me to compete in a pageant, but I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t winning. I placed 1st runner-up OVER and OVER in multiple states across several systems around the country. After competing again and again, I was frustrated and losing my confidence.

It’s your purpose, what you’re meant for. You can feel it. It’s this deep calling that’s begging you for more – even if you can’t see the path to achieve it.
God is expecting you to run toward that dream…and at just the right time, He puts the right resources, people, and situations in front of you to light your path and make it straight. It is your job to put in the work and chase that dream – He’s counting on you!
Just when I thought I would never compete again, God showed me a new strategy (I call it the Legacy Project) that led me to win Miss California!
And that wasn’t the only thing I ‘won’!
